PU insulating materials are manufactured without CFC, HCFC or fibres. PU rigid foam is largely resistant against the chemicals encountered in practical applications. It does not rot, is resistant against fungi, microbes, and mould, does not decompose, is odorless, and physiologically harmless.
Insulation performance
PU rigid foam convinces with its extremely low thermal conductivity. Therefore, our insulating elements with conductivity ratings of λD=0.022 to 0.028 W/(mK) provide optimum insulation with minimum panel thicknesses. Compared with conventional insulating materials, you save about 40% in material thickness. That translates into a real gain of living space.
Fire protection
PU rigid foam is supplied in the building material class B2. It exhibits no tendency to smoulder, does not melt in a fire, and does not fall in burning drops.
Temperature behaviour and water absorption
PU rigid foam has a wide operating temperature range. Up to +250 °C for short periods, and therefore resistant to hot bitumen – the continuous operating range is -30 to +90 °C. Also under extreme temperature effects, PU exhibits high dimensional accuracy & stability. Insulating materials made of PU rigid foam mainly have a closed-cell structure. Water absorption is max. 2...5% by volume.
Building biology
Based on investigations conducted by Karl Heinz Sirtl at the Institut Bio-Bauforschung (IBBF), PU rigid foam is classified as having a “positive building biology”, and can be used without reservations for ecological and green construction.
Environment and ecology
PU insulating elements are also convincing in every life-cycle assessment. Their manufacture requires only a fraction of the valuable energy that they help to save over decades. And at the end of their lifetime – more than 50 years – a calorific value equalling about 21 litres of heating oil can be recovered from every cubic meter. Naturally low in residue and environmentally friendly. Also our environment is able to breathe freely again. Because every litre of heating oil saved, puts about 3 kg carbon dioxide (CO2) less into the earth's atmosphere. By the way: Linzmeier recycles waste from manufacturing, and clean leftovers from construction, to produce LINIREC building panels, thereby continuing the material cycle.
PU rigid foam - the insulation material with the perfect features
Our insulation systems and building elements made of the high-performance insulation material PU rigid foam have many benefits:

Low thermal conductivity λD 0,022 up to λD 0,025/0,026/0,028 acc. to DIN EN 13165

Maximum insulation with minimum panel thickness

The insulation elements are easy to transport and can be installed quickly an easily, are pressure resistant (120 kPa) and dimensionally accurate & stable

Moisture resistant, does not rot, is resistant against fugi, microbes, does not decompose

With LINITHERM insulation systems, you can receive solutions with which you can also meet increased sound protection requirements

PU rigid foam has an excellent mould resistance when performed properly. LINITHERM PAL SIL for the exterior wall insulation from the inside ensures with the room sided silicate board a surface which is insensitive to mould and moisture

Odorless and physiologically safe

LINITHERM Insulation systems ensure an excellent protection against eletric smog

PU ridig foam is recyclable

The insulation systems based on PU rigid foam are offered in class B2 according to DIN 4102 - normally inflammable - the producr LINITHERM PAL W with fire behavior class C-s2, d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1 - of low flammability

Highest hail resistance class (5)

We provide 10 years of system performance in case of using the LINITHERM accessory products in addition to our LINITHERM upon rafter insulation system.
The installation instructions of company Linzmeier have to be observed and the roof construction has to be executed according to standards and specifications
